School Closure Update- Home School Work and Book Collection

10th Jan 2021

Dear parents,

Book Collection:

Hopefully you have all received the email detailing our Book Collection System starting tomorrow for First Class and Senior Infants and Tuesday for Junior Infants and multiple siblings. Please contact Mrs Burke using svdpinfs@gmail.com if you need to arrange an alternative time and we will do our best to accomodate you.

Remember to follow all government guidelines - wear a mask, allow at least 2m distance between yourself and other families and sanitise your hands. Please do not attend if you or a family member are displaying any symptoms consistent with Covid 19.

Lessons for home

Lessons for home will be uploaded weekly on a Sunday evening under the School Closure January 2021 tab on the website. There is a section there for each year group. There is also an archive section where previous weeks work will be saved.

Remember, the week’s work is a menu only, from which you can choose to do some, or all of the lessons/activities. It is there to help you and your family. Our hope is that the structure of the work we provide will make life easier for you, not more difficult. Do what works best for you and your family.

Seesaw

If you are yet to sign up for Seesaw, we highly recommend you do this as soon as possible. You can email svdpinfs@gmail.com to get the access code for your child's class.

Devices

We have a small number of laptops/devices available to borrow during the school closure. Please email svdpinfs@gmail.com and we will do our best to facilitate providing your family with a device.

Admissions/Enrolments

Don't forget admissions/enrolments are starting this Tuesday morning. Please see our Admissions/Enrolments page for further information.

Stay safe,

Is mise le meas,

Catherine Kennedy
