Note: The week’s work is a menu only, from which you can choose to do some, or all of the lessons/activities. It is there to help you and your family. Our hope is that the structure of the work we provide will make life easier for you, not more difficult. Do what works best for you and your family.  

If there is a page in a workbook assigned for this week that your child has already completed, you can chose to complete a similar activity in their copy or as an oral language activity.

Rhyme: Chubby Little Snowman

Can you find a ‘ck’ word in this rhyme?  

 

This week we are focussing on the e and h sound. We focus on letter sounds and do not yet use letter names.   

 

  • Practice the action for e       (pretend to crack an egg with one hand. Use both hands to open the shell and say e e e ) 

 

 

  • I-Spy – can you find items that begin with the ‘e’ sound in your house?  

 

  • Can you draw a ‘e’ in the air? Can you use your fingers to trace ‘e’ on someone’s back/ on the table?
