Room 14 - Engineers Week

It is Engineers Week. In room 14, we have been learning all about engineers and the work that they do. We were so lucky to have Sorcha Carty, a parent from room 14, come in and tell us all about being an engineer. We did a really interesting experiment working out what materials conducted electricity. Sorcha brought in an energy block for the experiment. 

This week we also explored the 'design and make' skills of being an engineer. Following instructions, we made paper airplanes and tested them outside in the wind.
